This 14-day tour retraces the life and teachings of St. Paul across ancient cities and sacred sites. Begin in Istanbul, exploring its Christian heritage before traveling to Antioch, where the term “Christian” originated. Visit St. Paul’s birthplace in Tarsus, journey through Cappadocia’s hidden sanctuaries, and explore biblical cities like Iconium, Pisidian Antioch, and Ephesus, key locations in St. Paul’s ministry. Discover the Seven Churches of Revelation, ancient ruins, and historic landmarks, including Patmos, where St. John received his revelations (subject to availability). Conclude in Istanbul with a deeper connection to St. Paul’s spiritual legacy.

Tour Itenary

Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul – Gateway to Ancient Empires

Arrive in Istanbul, once the Byzantine capital and an early stronghold of Christianity. 

Day 2: Istanbul – Legacy of Faith and Empires

Explore Istanbul’s rich Christian heritage, including the iconic Hagia Sophia, St. Savior in Chora, and the Blue Mosque. Visit Topkapi Palace and stroll through the bustling Grand Bazaar. 

Day 3: To Antioch – Birthplace of Christianity

Fly to Adana and continue to Antakya, the biblical Antioch where the term “Christian” was first coined. Visit St. Peter’s Grotto, and the ancient Seleucia Pieria, the port from which Paul and Barnabas departed for their first missionary journey. Dinner and overnight in Adana.

Day 4: From Tarsus to Cappadocia – St. Paul’s Origins

Travel to Tarsus, St. Paul’s birthplace, to see the ancient city ruins and St. Paul’s Well. Continue to Cappadocia, famed for its unique landscapes and early Christian history.

Day 5: Cappadocia – Hidden Sanctuaries and Heavenly Landscapes

Discover Cappadocia’s underground cities, rock-carved churches in Goreme, and stunning fairy chimneys. Visit Uchisar Castle and the pottery village of Avanos.

Day 6: To Iconium – A City of Miracles

Journey to Konya, known as Iconium in biblical times, where St. Paul preached during his missionary journeys. Visit the Mevlana Museum and explore the city’s spiritual heritage.

Day 7: Pisidian Antioch – Where Paul Preached to the Nations

Visit Pisidian Antioch (Yalvac), where St. Paul delivered one of his first sermons to the Gentiles. Continue to Pamukkale to see its stunning travertine terraces and the ancient city of Hierapolis.

Day 8: Pamukkale – Pools of Heaven and Ancient Hierapolis

Explore Hierapolis and Laodicea, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Head to Kusadasi for the next day.

Day 9: Ephesus – The City of St. Paul’s Teachings

Spend a full day in Ephesus, one of the most significant cities in St. Paul’s ministry. Visit the Basilica of St. John, the House of the Virgin Mary, and the remains of the Temple of Artemis. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 10: Patmos – Revelations on the Sacred Island

Take a ferry to Patmos, the island where St. John received his revelations. Visit the Cave of the Apocalypse and St. John’s Monastery. Return to Kusadasi.

  • Important Note: Due to the unavailability of chartered ferries and the number of people traveling, transportation to the island cannot be guaranteed. In that case, this day will be removed from the program and the itinerary will be shortened one day.

Day 11: Sardes and Philadelphia – Letters to the Seven Churches

Journey to Sardes and Philadelphia, two of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Explore their ancient ruins before continuing to Izmir (Smyrna) for a brief city tour and overnight stay.

Day 12: Pergamum and Thyatira – Faith in the Face of Opposition

Visit Thyatira and Pergamum, both Seven Churches sites. Explore Pergamum’s majestic Acropolis and the ancient healing center of Asklepion. Continue to Canakkale.

Day 13: Troy – Ancient Paths to Faith 

Visit the legendary city of Troy and museum, then, continue to Istanbul.

Day 14: Departure from Istanbul – A Journey to Remember

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your spiritual journey through Türkiye.
